I recently went to my local driving range where I wnated to get fitted for the new MX700 driver, I hit a basket of balls with the MX700 10.5 and 9.5 stiff and reg and also the MP600 9.5 stiff and a couple of Cleveland drivers in various shaft options. To be honest, there wasnt a great deal of difference between them all, I play off 18 and was carrying to the 250 marker on 80-90% of drives. The club I found most forgiving and consistent was the MX700 10.5 REG, which i purchased. I have now discovered this is fitted with a Fujikura fit on e150 shaft that ive been told is for seniors / slow swingers. My swing speed was measured at a consistent 100-105mph and im over 6 feet and 17 stone, my question is would I benefit from a different shaft thats more suited to my swing speed and why would the pro give me a club with a seniors shaft unless the club I was testing had a different shaft but I dont think it did. Thanks for any comments.
