Hi there,

I am planning to buy a new golfset for my wife.
She used to play Mizuno Widecs II and now wants either the MX-100 or MX-950. Feel is the same, so I was wondering if there are other considerations (quality, forgiveness etc) to make the choice.

Who can help us out here?

Cheers,

Ronald

Both clubs are very forgiving and either one would make a great women's set. Both have similar technologies in the long irons, and flight characteristics are very similar between the two.

MX-100 has recently won many awards in different golf publications globally. It was just featured in an article in one US publication promoting it as a great women's option. MX-100 also has women specific loft options which makes meaningful distance differences throughout the set. Also has two women's shaft flexes.

MX-950 is on the tail end of it's life cycle and you might be able to find it for a great price. It is a premium set of irons - loaded with technology. It has 3 different head constuctions. Long and mid irons are hybrid / hollow construction types and feature tungsten weighted inserts. Short irons are 1 piece Grain Flow Forged for great feel.

Either way you can't go wrong - try them both at a demo day and check out what bargains you can find on the MX-950's.
