been using mizuno irons for over 15 years, my first set was the senstational MS211. I upgraded in 2004 to MP60,which i must say have been very disappointing. They lack feel and consistency. I'm thinking about upgrading to MP62 or maybe trying a new brand. Has anyone else found the MP60 irons below their expectations? Your thoughts on the MP62

I was custom fitted by Mizuno for the MP60 irons some 18 months ago and have found them to be excellent, I'm well pleased with them. However, during the fitting process, I found that some shafts really didn't work for me and would have caused me problems. Shows the value of custom fiting I suppose.
Haven't tried the MP62's, would love to, but afraid I might find them better than the 60's and justifying the money to the wife would be difficult to say the least.

Hi,
I have gone from MP30's to MP62's. Also a 5 handicap player like you. Personally I think they are a great club. I was fit at the Surry centre and found the club to be true. I have the Barrel shaft, quite stiff at 6.0, which took a bit of getting used to. However now are spot on !!

Regards

I have played most Mizzy irons since 12 years back, everything from MP-14,29,30,33 and 37 to the Pro I and II plus the TP9. I'm currently playing the mp-60 and understand your thoughts on the feeling the MP60's need to be fitted with proper shaft to require the mizuno feel. However I believe the the performance of the club is amazing, easy to hit and somewhat forgiving. My suggestion would be either to get another shaft, such as the Nippon pro 950 for more feel or demo the 62' they are smoother feel but will launch lower. Why not give the 67's a try?

best of luck and hope you will find the feel you are looking for.

MP60's are a good club but don't provide as soft a feel as some. I use them and love them but apparently the MP 62 are very soft feel, I wouldn't change to them though because I think the heads are too small. It's all about preference.

I totally agree with other posters regarding choosing the correct shafts!

I tried the MP60's a while ago and didn't really like them. My advice would be to get yourself a set of 32's (not available in the UK any more, but you can get them from the US) or the 67's.

UTTERLY BUTTERLY!!!

where did you get those MP-32s! I love the simple runbird only on the back. I have a set of MP-32s today and would love to get a nice custom second set.
