...because I bought my mp5's in the spring thinking nothing is ever going to be more beautiful in the iron market. In comes the MP18 blades and I am poor once again. Why do you keep doing this to me you beautiful japanese beast of a golf company?!?! :)

Your statement is completely untrue! - They can be trusted, to keep making clubs more beautiful than the last ones

But MP5 was the choosen One! It was supposed to be in my bag for years to come. But you are right Paul, it is the opposite :)

I have so far avoided the temptation to try the MP18. Do you find any difference between the MP5 and MP18?

From my own testing there isn't enough difference to warrant changing from my MP5s to the 18s.

GC2 results were virtually identical given the same shaft (PX 6.0, 6i carry 170 & 172 respectively).

Only noticeable difference is the 18s look slightly more compact at address.

I would say performance is the same. For me it came down to the look and that I find find the leading edge to be a bit sharper.

I definitely found the performance to be slightly better in the MP18mb vs the MP5. But they both look splendid :)

Funny, I found my MP25s were better performing than the 18s for launch and dispersion. The 18s just look better
