Has anyone ever had a tour of the mizuno factory in scotland?

Does anyone know if they would let the members of the forum visit for a day?

Or is it not really worth going?

It's a good idea, but not sure if Mizuno would be up for organising it...

MPX is the man who will tell us, but I - for one - would be up for the visit!

It's in Cumbernauld & is where the fitting centre was before it got moved to World of Golf.
I was there twice for iron fittings but then was there about a year ago with my job when I saw what the public didn't see. To be honest there's not much too see but really its just a distribution warehouse for all Mizuno Europe products so its just racks & racks of running shoes, clothing etc.
Tucked away is where they put together the clubs which doesn't have much to see in it. What was disappointing when I was there was no one I spoke to actually played golf & despite me enthusing about their equipment to them it was just an assembly process.

Worrying, I wouldn't want my clubs assembled by someone who just see's it as a process and has not interest in either the sport or the company.

C'mon Logie... Be realistic!! Do you think that everyone in the Mizuno factory is a golf enthusiast??? To many of these workers its a job and a process - ine which they are all very GOOD at BTW!!!

Guys the production line is an excellent process worth seeing, we sometimes let people see it when we were running the NFC in Cumbernauld. When we ran our PGA training seminars it was something the pros raved about. Some of the intricacies the Japanese have when creating the heads and the qualities of build are second to none, that’s where the great feel comes from. We’ll have a discussion internally and come back to you about visits. Regards, Fitter.

You could put 5 golden tickets inside random Mizuno gloves....
There's a feel of Charlie and the chocolate factory about that suggestion.

I can imagine Donald Trump buying up all the gloves so he can get 'The Golden Ticket' and us mere mortals hoping that we wear out our one allocated glove a month to buy a new one.

really wish i had posted this earlier.

Tomorrow is D Day for ordering my JPX driver. I would have wished that i could have placed the order and visited the factory to see it being put together and walked away with it afterwards.

Never mind if Fitter can keep asking some of us may be lucky enough to get to visit.

Would be great if it came after xmas and we had xmas money ready to be spent and we could order when we were there and see the process through to walking away happy with new equipment.

What do you think?

Would be a chance to see DEEMAC internally combust with excitement !!
