Hi Guy's

Just read this on my Instagram feed...!

mizunoeuropegolf "Best of luck with everything Chris. We've loved having you in our team"

And after checking on the Mizuno EU forum Tour players list I don't see his name,

So is he leaving us for pastures green...?

So it seems, even though I couldn't find anything more on the subject. It's a shame as he seems like a good guy.

That's also personally bad news for me as the chances of Mizuno making pants longer than 33" must've decreased dramatically. :(

Yes Woody's contract came to an end.

No reflection on Woody as a player.  He'll likely progress again, win some more big tournaments and we'll be happy for him when he does.  So many changes on tour with equipment contracts / sponsorship in the last year - possibly worked out better for both parties.

We'll still be there to help Woody with equipment if he needs.  Will be other players signing to Mizuno - not massive names, but players with potential where it makes sense for both sides to have a contract in place.

Thanks MPX for the clarification, I'm sure we all wish him well going forward,

Happy new year to you and all at Mizuno,

Cheers John

You might want to sign up Jonesy quickly then before he wins in Portugal!!!

Does Jonesy match the 'players with potential' criteria?  He's ok on not being a massive name, but we were hoping for both.

100% yes.

But you will need to stipulate in the contract what he is allowed to say in interviews.

See Woody has signed an apparel deal with Nike, so not gone for an exclusive deal. Wonder whose bats he will end up with.

Yes - the irons and wedges.  Pretty much what he was playing from Mizuno before (from what we know).  Eventually someone will sway him, but for now looks like Woody is sticking with what he likes.
