How long between iron changes?

Returning member here, seem to have lost my old account.

I was wondering how often most members replace their irons, either after x number of rounds or x years? If you have an older set that you love do you re-groove them?

To be totally honest, I've never replaced because my current set have done x number of rounds. I usually change if I fancy a change or the clubs are a few years old.

Lol lol, i got my mx 200 october 2008 and only now thinking about changing.

2011, then 2013 and now 2018 - well used though, probably average 3 + rounds per week plus a couple of hours practice. Go through grips twice a year and eat lob wedges (use out of sand) at a similar rate.

I used to change every 2-3 years, usually when one of the new ranges came out and caught my eye. Last change like this was to MP64s which never really got broken in before I had an accident that changed everything. My Rehab irons were the 2014 JPX EZs and they were great, I've only just bought a used set of 900 Hot Metals as my game is slowly coming together and I don't quite need all the help the JPX EZs gave me.
