Europeans dominated a very strong field in Sheshan!!

7 out of the top 10 and 13 out of the top 20 were European.

A good 3rd place for Luke.

How I wish some of the other young Europeans were Mizzy staffers!!! (Westwood, Molinari/s, Casey, Rose, Fisher, etc)

Well done to Ritchie Ramsay too (joint 3rd with Luke)!! A fellow Scot who has done well this season - keep it up!!

And to add to that only one american(woods) in the top 20 and i believe the other 19 all play on the european tour?

Is it too soon to claim that the European Tour is now better and more competitive than the US Tour? Increasingly the world rankings seem to show the upward march of european tour players.

The announcement yesterday of McIlroy giving up his US tour card and with Martin Kaymer and Lee Westwood declining US Tour membership confirms the importance of the US Tour is declining.

Best of all for me though is the emergence of a great crop of very good British players, led by Lee.

I have to agree.12 0f the worlds top 20 are now european tour members,only Els and Goosen not from europe.With Casey,Poulter and Donald the only permanent US PGA tour members.It says a lot for the strength on the European Tour.
