Re: The Open Golf Championship - Official Workshop Blog

I was at the chipping green (you can't get to the putting green) where Luke was chipping away.

Just behind walks Tiger Woods, up across the bridge to the driving range. 4 body guards with him.

Absolutely pathetic. It's not what the Open is about.

View down the 18th. Now the 18th at my club is a nice hole but it's like comparing the lawn in your garden to Old Trafford.

Sunday pins. And Peter Dawson has just said that they've "eased" them from yesterday due to the expected strong winds!

Latest weather forecast from the Met Office

0600 to 1200 Mostly dry with some sunny spells developing. South 5 to 10mph, increasing southwest 10 to 15mph with gusts around 20mph by midday.

1200 to 1900 Dry with some sunshine and variable amounts of cloud. Southwest, increasing to 15 to 20mph with gusts 25 to 30mph, isolated gusts of 35mph possible after 1500.

1900 to 2400 Clouding over through this evening but remaining mostly dry. Southwest 15 to 20mph, with gusts 25 to 30mph, isolated gusts to 35mph possible at first. Easing slightly and backing south later.

If you're at Lytham and wondering where our flags have gone off the top of the workshop, we took them down yesterday due to the above!

Last views of Luke on the practice ground at Royal Lytham this year! It's going to take some magic from L.D to get into contention this year... He has got previous though ;-)

The top of our mountain! Mr Akito Mizuno himself (on the left) paid a visit to the workshop today, together with other top dignitaries...

The practice ground has been well and truly beaten up this year. It's all gone very quiet now. The players are off so enjoy the final round of "The Open".

I noticed at the tent with the Mizuno shaft optimiser that people were hitting what looked like Mizuno balls. All ramping up for the autumn release.........

Re: The Open Golf Championship - Official Workshop Blog

Wow, what a finish. What a cruel game this can be, but congrats to Ernie and bad luck to Adam.

Luke was close in the end, finishing T5. We've had a great week and thanks for following our Open Blog from Lytham, I hope you enjoyed it.

We'll be at Muirfield next year and St Andrews after that but in the meantime please follow our European Tour Workshop Blog for all the latest from us on tour.

Signing off for now with a couple more pics...

I agree with the others, this has been a fantastic thread with a lot of insight into not only some of the new gear headed our way, but the amount of work you guys do each day. Thanks for all the updates.

Re: The Open Golf Championship - Official Workshop Blog

Kudos for not only this thread but the Forum in general.

As a returning Mizzie player, I am not only enjoying my MP 58's but also the feel of the Forum as a whole.

For many years, whilst it has been the goal of Aussie's to get and keep a start on the US Tour, traditionally they have always not only played well but enjoyed the European Tour.

Cheers

Mr B
