Hi all

Hope you've noticed more Mizuno irons on tour again this season. The Nike pull out and a change in approach from Taylor Made has left some opportunities for Mizuno. We ended up with 13 sets in play this week at Wentworth.....from a possible 19 earlier in the week. The range has looked a lot more familiar this week. Here's my favourite picture from the week - 2 Mizuno bags alongside each other with the workshop in the back drop.

What is the most popular iron head?

Seems to be 900 Tour at the moment - if you're looking at a single model. It's what all the ex Nike players have gravitated to. Can change by the week though - Lasse Jensen played his 18s on Wednesday last week and played with 900 Tours on Thursday.

Is it true that the caddies like the Mizuno running shoes?

Seem to see a few of them about.

Good showing from Jorge Campillo at the Irish Open this weekend, only missed the playoff by one shot - Ballyliffin looked amazing! - That's probably the best weather they've ever had there in a century! - As some of you may be aware my brother is a member & I have played both courses there many times - The members play the course the Irish was on at approx 7,200y but this was stretched to over 7,400y for the Pros - It was great watching the Pros playing holes I know so well - The signature Par 3 7th was just over 170y & they were hitting GW or PW mainly - It's about 165y off the medal tee I usually played off & I have played every club in my bag from SW to Driver depending on what the wind is doing - It was great for the tournament to see the Pros playing in near perfect conditions, but a little bit of me wished they got at least one day of "normal" weather, when I'm pretty sure Par would have been a decent score ...
