MPX, Although these are now listed on the website they only show a length of 34 inches. There is nothing showing in the Custom Fit section to show these will be available at different lengths and I hope this will be changed as they are far too long for me.

They wouldn't be able to make a putter that was one length only.... that would be stock length. Actually much nicer than the standard 35. Can always just cut it down in the fitting process.

We're looking at how to accommodate the custom lengths as we get used to putters again. Couldn't ignore the MCRAFT, but our factory isn't quite set up for custom putter lengths just yet.

In an ideal world Mizuno would offer these at various lengths, but as a small fish in a big pond of putter suppliers, I can understand them offering just the "middle ground" in length (34") - If that length doesn't suit it is quite straightforward to remove the grip, cut down (or extend) the shaft & put the grip back on? - If I can do it, it can't be that difficult?

If it was secondhand I would have no problems doing what you say but we are talking brand new from a company that promotes custom fitting so I don't see why I should have to.

Hi Paul,

Would you mind sharing the method that you use for removing the grips as this is something I would like to be able to do at the moment I just cut them off and fit a new grip..! but I'd really like to use the grips again,

John.

John,
I use an air compressor if I want to keep the grip. You can blow it off

Hi Brattz,

This method would be ideal but unfortunately I don't have an air compressor or even access to one,
I do have a small 12V Air compressor that I use to check and inflate my car tyres and wondered if I there is some way of using that to do it..?

Cheers

John.

PS

After a bit of Googling I think I've found an answer to my problem there is an AC/DC power supply universal transformer adaptor that you can plug in to your wall socket that has the 12V cigarette lighter socket attachment so you can power various car devices in house,

I've ordered one of the internet so I'll let you know if it works out OK or if I manage to blow my self up..!

PPS

Apologies to LOS for high jacking his thread about the new Mizuno Putters..!

Hi John ... I don't have a compressor, or access to one, so I use a tool to remove my grips - I'll try & find a link to a description or video of how you use it, rather than try to explain, but I've been doing this for several years & it must have saved me a fortune!

Golf Grip Removal Tool

PS - If you go down the tool route search "V - Groove Golf grip remover " on the bay & "clubworks-dg" have it at best price

Hi Paul,

I had a look on the Bay and I see the V golf grip remover tool that you mentioned they range in price from £32.95 up to £42.95..!
I've ordered this AC/DC power transformer adaptor plug that I may be able to use my car air compressor with to blow the grips off,
it only cost me £4.79 with free post so I'll wait see if that works first,

The most annoying thing about it all is I'm a retired engineer and if I had still been working I would have made the removal tool myself,

John.

John, My twopenneth regarding Car air compressors this way is that there is no reservoir to store air so that you cannot maintain a constant high pressure to be able to do anything other than blow up tyres.

Hi LOS,

Yes you could well be correct I never thought about that..!

I went on YouTube and watched a video of how to remove a golf grip using only a metal coat hanger and some grip solvent
and as I just happened to have a metal coat hanger and grip solvent I used that method and I had the grip off in under five minuets undamaged
and ready to be used again..!

John.

Hi Stewart,

I was only needing to replacing a couple of grips from two wedges that I had bought and I manage it using the coat hanger and It worked OK, I would normally just cut the old grips off but I wanted to save them as they were also new grips and I could passably use them again,
although if I was going to replace all the grips on my set of clubs it would probably be a lot easier with the proper tool at hand..! but I don't want you going to any bother or going out to send it to me and exposing your self and others to this dreadful virus thank you for the offer that was good of you..!

Hope you and the family are all well take care and stay safe.

John.

I was Mizuno putter fans until I move to Piretti and I really regret to gave away my Mizuno A304 and A306. Those putters were very good in quality and value, and its all black finish with white strip. It doesnt bother me when I put in the striking sun. Cant wait to get Mcraft very soon.

Does anyone know if custom fitting will be available in South Africa any time soon? If not, do you know what the standard swing weight of the M Craft 2? I will need the putter at 33", so adding the extra 10g will compensate.
